Did you know the garden stool is over 1000 years old? Used during the Ming Dynasty where much emphasis was placed on the garden, the smooth stool most likely evolved from other forms of outdoor seating such as a tree stump or rock. Modern influence has brought these ceramic drums inside (as well as kept them out) and are available in a range of decorative motifs from traditional to contemporary. The Small Ceramic Stool by Cyan has the traditional perforated details from its original but the ruby is packed into a petite size.
